Portola Springs Park

Irvine, CA | In progress

Overview

The community surrounding this new project lacked a central location for people to gather and or enjoy the beauty of a summer’s day. As a new residential area, some spacial constraints made it difficult to find places suitable for equipment, materials, etc. The need for a well-organized schedule was vital to what was ahead, that way we avoided as much disruption to the public as possible and ensured the project was completed right on time.

The approach

Our straightforward approach has been rooted in communication. Initial assessments were made to understand any constraints and all requirements of the project. Coordination with the contractor was made to plan the layout and schedule. When some areas of work, out of our control, fell behind, we quickly adapted to the situation by reapproaching our strategy.

At one point, to meet our client's deadlines and maintain progress, we sent out a team of more than 30 workers to simultaneously band together on-site. This effort was planned to ensure all tasks were completed efficiently and on time. Earthscapes implemented an approach that minimized disruptions, integrated continuous monitoring and acted on adjustments as needed.

The goal

Our dedication to quality means that every aspect of our work is being planned and put to action as to exceed client expectations. Our goal is to create a park where children can play and the community can gather for generations to come.
